  • Which country offers the best education for me?

    It would be very difficult to classify a specific country as providing the best educational degree. There are good universities and institutes in over 40 to 50 countries that students apply to basis their long-term goals and career ambition with about 10 -12 being the favourite study destinations. Many universities have program specific reputation on being excellent for that program. Hence this requires exploration and assessment and then a final decision needs to be taken by you.

  • How do I reduce my cost of studies?

    There are many options one can use to reduce cost of studies. This includes availing scholarships wherever possible , taking up part time work , utilising in-campus work like research assistantship , teaching assistantship , paid internships etc.. One can also reduce the living cost a bit by managing lower cost accommodation.

  • Is it easy to get scholarships?

  • Should I do internship during studies?

    An internship prepares you well for a smooth move into the working world as it gives you an insight into and a work experience of the real world of jobs and career. This prepares you better. Moreover internship also adds to your resume strength when applying for jobs.

  • Will internships help to reduce cost of studies?

    Some internships are paid stipend, while some are unpaid internships. Some students take up unpaid internships to add to their academic credits wherever allowed as per the university policy.

  • What is the duration of the internship?

    The duration is dependant on the university or the organisation where the internship is being carried out. The internship is generally part time during the university semester and it will be full time during holiday seasons.

  • How do I get an educational loan?

    You must apply to your bank for the loan. It is advisable to approach your primary banker for the loan as you or your family will have a banking history with them. However, the ABROAD ADMTIS counsellors can also help you apply through the banks or educational loan providing finance companies we are partnered with for servicing such student request. The lending institution takes the final decision on the loan request basis eligibility as per their policy.

  • How much loan can I get? And when does the repayment start?

    The loan amount is as per the bank policy and maximum loan amount can very from Rs 10 lakh to Rs 100 Lakhs depending upon the eligibility policy of the lending institution.

    The educational loan normally covers the tuition fee and the living expenses for the entire study program.

    The educational loan tenor for international studies ranges from 7.5 years to 10 years. Generally, the repayment starts one year after the completion of the course or six months after the student Is employed, whichever is earlier. The interest on the loan has to be serviced during the study period itself.

  • What are the norms for availing an educational loan?

    The general norms are as listed below for educational loans in India me during the university semester and it will be full time during holiday seasons.

    • You have to be an Indian Citizen
    • A Co – Borrower / Co - Applicant is mandatory. The Co- Borrower has to be your relative (Parent, Sibling, Relative) or legal guardian
    • For loan amounts upto Rs 4 lakhs from a bank no collateral security is required generally
    • For loan amounts of Rs 4 lakhs to Rs 7.50 Lakhs from a bank it may require a third party guarantee
    • For loan amounts above Rs 7.50 lakhs from a bank collateral security will be required. The assignment of student’s future income towards the repayment of the loan will also be required.
    • However there are cases of sudents getting loans from NBFCs of higher amount of even up to Rs 20 Lakhs – 40 Lakhs without collateral with the Co – applicant strength depending on the university, student profile, program of study and study country.
  • What documents are required when applying for an educational loan?

    FROM THE APPLICANT (The student)

    • Educational Loan application form duly filled up in full
    • University / Institute offer letter (Admission letter)
    • Details of the university / institute
    • Work Experience certificate (if any)
    • Academic documents and certificates as below
      - 10th & 12th (or diploma) Marksheets - Degree certificate / Provisional Certificate - Marksheet of Graduation
    • Scores of standardised test scores of (IELTS / TOEFL / GRE / GMAT / PTE /DUO LINGO etc.)
    • Statement of Cost of Studies for the entire duration of the program / course
    • Photocopy of passport – first and last page
    • Photocopy of PAN CARD
    • Photocopy of Aadhar card of the student
    • Photocopy of Visa & Air Ticket
    • Tuition Fee Receipt of the university (if any)
    • Documents pertaining to the collateral security ( if own collateral is also offered )

    FROM THE CO-APPLICANT

    • Photocopy of Aadhar card of the Co- Applicant
    • Photocopy of the PAN CARD of the Co- Applicant
    • Documents pertaining to the collateral security Co – Applicant - A Self employed / business category
    • Income Tax Returns with computation of income for last 2 years
    • Profit & Loss Account and Balance Sheet for the last 2 years
    • Bank statement of both, the individual and the business, for the last 6 months
    • Business Proof docs - Registration certificate

    Co – Applicant – Salaried category

    • Salary slips of the last 3 months
    • Form 16 & Income Tax Returns for the last 2 years
    • Bank statement for the last 6 months
    • Employee ID card
    • Appointment Letter / Latest promotion letter as applicable Co – Applicant - Agriculturist
    • Income certificate for last 2 years as issued by appropriate authority of Gazette Rank ( Tehsildar / District Revenue officer etc..)
  • How do I apply for the student visa?

    Visa application forms are available from the respective country consulate. You can apply for the Visa with the admission / offer letter from the university / institute along with evidence of financial support for the tuition and living cost. It is also advisable to get a net worth statement (student / parent) attested by a CA ABROAD ADMITS counselor will guide you on the Visa process and documentation process.

  • How much financial support do I need to show at the time of Visa application?

    For those availing the educational loan, the loan is the financial support proof. In case of no educational loan then you should show at least an amount that is equal to or little more than one year tuition fee and living expense. However each country has different minimal amount requirement.

  • Can a student change the major upon reaching the university ?

    While it is the university’s decision, many universities allow the change basis eligibility
